The Best Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

I almost don’t want to admit how often we make these. The kids even memorized the recipe and can throw it together in just moments! There is truly nothing like a warm cookie fresh out of the oven with a cold glass of milk… am I right?!

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of salted butter

1 cup of granulated cane sugar

1 cup of brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs

3 cups of all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon of sea salt

2 cups of chocolate chips (we prefer semi sweet or dark)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together butter and sugars until combined (about 2 minutes we like it fluffy)

Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl OR in the same bowl as the butter/sugar mixture combine all dry ingredients. Mix them in until combined.

Now without eating too many add in the chocolate chips.

I love using a medium cookie scoop or just eyeball it with my hands. Place on your buttered cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes depending on your preference. We like 18 minutes.

Pour your cold milk and ENJOY!

This recipe should make around 36 cookies give or take how much cookie dough you eat. I always make enough to freeze for a quick sweet treat, too!
